The columns stand side by side, independently. Individual clients are deliberately not mapped to specific projects, plants or roles — confidentiality towards former clients is part of what you are buying.

Sectors

Two industries, one technical principle.

Metals — processing lines and plants

Carbon steel, stainless steel, electrical steel and aluminium.

The core of my work. Strip processing lines place particular demands on electrical and automation systems: high strip speeds, tight tolerances on tension and temperature, aggressive media in the pickling section, and a process that cannot be interrupted without affecting production and product quality.

My experience includes

  • Annealing and pickling lines (HAPL, DRAPL, CAPL, ACL, APL)
  • Continuous and push pickling lines (CPL, PPL)
  • Hot-dip (continuous) galvanising lines (CGL)
  • Continuous coating lines
  • Various aluminium strip processing lines (CHTL, CPTL)
  • Acid recovery plants
  • Electrical and automation upgrades for existing plants

Pulp & paper

Pulp and paper mills.

The pulp and paper industry was where I gained my first experience in commissioning automation and process control systems. For many years, I was responsible for the start-up and optimization of electrical, automation, and process control systems on projects across Europe, North America, and South-East Asia.

My experience includes

  • Pulp mills
  • Paper machines and coating machines
  • Cross cutters and roll cutters
  • Water treatment plants
  • Wood yards
  • Power boilers and recovery boilers
